GLENHAVEN ASSISTED LIVING

What is assisted living?

Assisted living is designed to provide housing, individualized support services, and health care for those who do not need the specialized care of a nursing home, yet need some assistance with the activities of daily living.  We, at Glenhaven Retirement Village, respect our elders' independence and are striving to provide an alternative to traditional nursing home care.

What is the difference between Glenhaven Retirement Village Assisted Living Center and Glenhaven Retirement Village Nursing Home?

Although both have a 24-hour certified staff to provide care and assistance, the atmosphere at the Assisted Living Center is much more homelike.  There is no nurses station and employees do not wear uniforms but rather only name tags to identify them as someone who is willing to help.

What if the time comes when I need more specialized care than provided by the Assisted Living Center?

One of the main goals we have at Glenhaven Retirement Village is to provide an easy transition for an individual through all phases of aging.  Our elders will not only have the option of moving to our Long-Term Care Nursing Facility when that time comes, but can also utilize our Skilled Nursing or Rehabilitation Facility, if the need arises.
